Was This A Net Election?

With all the talk about how the internet was going to influence last year’s Presidential Election, Slate is now taking a look at what worked, and what didn’t. What worked was fund raising via the net, getting information out quickly, parodies, and vote trading. What didn’t was multimedia election coverage, interactivity with politicians, and for-profit political portals. I think they left out one important thing: propaganda seemed to work very well. I saw a lot more people armed with a lot more misinformation than ever before.
