Intrusive Online Customer Service

from the shopping-assistants-who-can-jump-out-of-nowhere dept

I’m not sure this is a good thing. Here’s an article about a company that’s created a system that let’s customer service reps watch what you’re doing online and then instant message you if they think they can help. It’s like having the annoying salespeople in a store watch you secretly and then jump out in front of you. I guess in some instances it might be helpful, but mostly it would just piss me off.
