Yahoo Yodeling Right To Court

from the yahoooooooo dept

The guy who yodeled the famous “Yahoo-oo!” used in all of Yahoo!’s commercials believes he was underpaid. In 1996 he was paid $590 to yodel. He now, apparently, believes he should have been paid $5,000,590, as he’s suing the company for $5 million. He says the initial yodel was meant to be in one commercial, and he feels they owe him for the continued use of the yodel. He’s tried to work out a settlement privately with the company, but they’ve ignored him, so it’s off to court to yodel. I wonder if he’ll get to yodel in court – and how it will get recorded in the transcript.
