Digital Freedom Fighters

from the who's-watching-out-for-us? dept

Here’s a good set of articles about people who are probably more concerned with your privacy than you are. First, an LA Times article all about the Electronic Frontier Foundation. If you’re a typical geek then there’s probably not much new in the article, but it does talk about their history, and some of their concerns after September 11. The second is from MIT’s Tech Review and it’s about the state of cryptography today and the fact that it is often misunderstood. The article tries to combat the “kneejerk” reaction of people looking to ban cryptography by pointing out all of the good things it does (and could do).
