Diebold Told They Should Obey Election Law

We recently noted that Diebold had been accused of skirting election law in North Carolina, as it asked a judge to exempt it from a state law requiring e-voting machine providers to offer up their source code to be reviewed by experts, if necessary. The EFF and others stepped in and sued, and a judge has quickly responded that Diebold should actually obey election law this time around. If Diebold wants to be in the bidding for a contract in North Carolina, it has to submit its source code.
