Technology Gives Kids A Sense Of Accomplishment

A new study says that kids don’t pick up on new technologies because they’re the “in” thing, but because they’re a challenge and mastering the technology boosts their self-esteem by giving them a feeling of accomplishment. The folks behind the study point out that these findings are important in educating parents not to think of kids playing around with computers as a bad thing – since it’s often very good for them.
