    Re: Security Silly!

I collect old cars and old motorcycles. They don't sell pre-war Norton motorcycles very often in my hometown. I have absolutely no problem with driving long distances to pick up things I want.

    CL doing this is idiotic.

Just as a semi-related thing, what host service do you use? I use Pair and they panicked after they got the MMPI copyright DMCA notice from me using 17 of their questions. They said if they get another complaint, they're cutting me off whether what I'm doing is legal or not. They don't want to deal with it. I'd like a new host after that.

    tunnelvision

I think you're suffering from a bit of tunnelvision because stupid insane use of copyright laws is a huge informative part of this site.

Facebook is used by the revolutionaries to organize all around the Arabic speaking world. I'm currently working in Saudi Arabia and this world is falling apart, country after country. I think that has far more to do with banning FB than people drawing pictures.

Not true. At least not for the average TSA person who checks you out and looks through your suitcases. They have no control over who gets put on the enhanced list. If they recognized an employee of the restaurant who won't let TSA eat there, then they can individually give them a harder time going through security. And based on some of the TSA staff I worked with, I would imagine that will happen. Tit for tat.

    Re:

I've had problems with false DMCAs before. Pair, who I pay to host my server, said I was the only one who has filed a challenge instead of removing the content. More importantly, they also told me to find another server since by filing a challenge they didn't want to deal with me. They said if the same company sent out another DMCA (they had sent two about the same thing a couple months apart that I challenged), they would remove my sites.

I don't have the budget to sue over the false DMCAs. Sometimes rolling over like a dog is the easiest thing to do. I don't think jaxed.com makes money. It seems like mostly a hobby site.
