Oh man. My wife works for Clinique at a Sears store. I hate malware. I hope my wife doesn't "join" that community. I'll have to warn her or she will join for sure. Cosmetologists and technology... no good bed fellows.
I used to have Facebook. I had to inactivate my account because there were so many emails from a lot of people asking me to join this cause or use that application... It was really annoying. It was great at the beginning. I found a lot of old friends from school. I had around 60 friends but they registered every application they could find. I won't go back to Facebook. Not in a million years.
I agree with A. Coward @4:56am. Nice clause to have in a contract.
I always have to format / prepare my hard drives. They always come that way. Maybe are the brands I buy. Anyway, it's easy because it's only one or two hard drives, not 20.
DRM is a waste of time for everybody: manufacturers, consumers and pirates. 1)Manufacturers have to spend more in this dumb technology. 2)Consumers get a lot of trouble from this tech, even with legitimate media. 3)Pirates doesn't care about DRM. They are going to break every protection scheme... FAST. As a consumer, I once rented a movie and tried to watch it on my player. It didn't work. Exchanged the movie at the store because I thought it was scratched but it didn't work either. It was a waste of my time. My player is fine. It just doesn't like some disks. Even new, unscratched disks.
Back in the day...
I am 36 y/o. When I was in school, if teachers abused us verbally or physically we had no way of showing it to their superiors or our parents. We just had to cry or swallow it because most of the times our parents would say "What you were doing that he/she did that? ARE YOU SURE???". Now our kids have a way to report those incidents. OK, maybe some kids are hard to control and some disrespect their teachers, but not all are that way. At least my kids HAVE to respect their teachers... or else.
