  You cannot be sued simply because you've stopped purchasing a certain product. I will not purchase a DVD with a movie or TV series (and I've purchased a TON in my day) again. Done. Over.
  
  How can that be a reason to garnish my wages? Besides, taxes have already done that... Now they'll want to rob me for NOT buying??? Where does the infringement on civil rights end?

  I just learned about "Happy Birthday" being "protected" from my niece a few weeks ago - she teaches autistic children. They had a BD party for one of the children at a restaurant and were told they couldn't sing "THAT" song lest they be guilty of "copyright infringement".
  
  So make sure all the windows are closed and you sing Happy Birthday very, VERY softly at any family birthday gatherings lest "THEY" hear you ... and be sure that camcorder is off so no one can share your family singing "Happy Birthday" on the everyone-is-a-felon-Inet.

  Okay, let me see if I have this right ... I'm at home, alone and bored. Friend from Germany sends me e-mail with a LINK to a site and says, "hey so-and-so has a RS download to a great movie - check it out."
  
  So I do. I DL the movie, watch it, enjoy myself for 90 minutes and delete it.
  
  Now I'm a criminal - and my friend from Germany is, too? And can be extradited? Give me a break! Someone said this is insanity - wholeheartedly agree!
  
  Firstly, who did either of us hurt? Who's public safety was at risk? Who lost anything more than if that friend were my next door neighbor and brought the DVD over to share with me?
  
  Seems to me "justice" is served when REAL criminals - you know, killers, drug lords, terrorists etc. are the one's pursued, not people sitting in their homes harming no one and certainly not a harmless hyperlink.
  
  This whole thing is way out there in crazyville. It is starting to look like the Internet and all these ridiculous power grabs by wanna-be New World Order morons are the rumblings of WWIII - I mean shoot, never mind global terrorists who want to kill - GET THOSE VIRTUAL PIRATES!

  I have taken such horrendous hits for my faith that I guess my skin has just gotten very "thick" - it doesn't phase me one bit. My savior took far worse, after all ...

  The only thing I can see being important here is that the author of work #2 make mention of the source of his inspiration, work #1. Which would lead to the free publicity for author of work #1.

  I had a car stolen in the late 70's. LEO found it by the end of the day. In other words, they did their job instead of letting a GPS tracker do it all for them.

  I'm torn on this one, human nature being what it is and all... I mean, what he did was pretty good overall and one could kind of say it was "self defense" of a sort, but wouldn't it have been far better to ignore the fake profile and not engage in such hideous game playing? Look at the example he's set (especially for young people/kids). Now tons of people are going to try to play this kind of game on others. Let the games begin...
  
  In other words, what can of worms did he open up? It may not all be "good".
  
  On the other hand, if it would make silly women who play these silly games think twice it could serve a good purpose. Somehow though, I can't see it working that way.

  Solar Smores

  It's truly amazing how food and science go together.
  
  For a while I found myself fascinated with the concept of solar cooking and aimed to try something so I tried "Solar Smores". It worked! But being in WI the days we can do this are numbered, unfortunately. Here's the "recipe" if anyone wants to try it - it's fun! I put it in my weekly newsletter and got a lot of positive feedback.
  
  Solar S'mores
  Four graham crackers
  16 mini marshmallows
  2 plain chocolate candy bars
  A 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish (or similar size)
  A clear glass lid to cover the baking dish
  
  Place four graham crackers side by side in the bottom of the glass baking dish. Place a chocolate bar on two of the graham crackers. Place eight mini-marshmallows on top of the other two graham crackers. Cover the pan with the clear glass lid, and place it outside where it will be in direct sunlight. Wait for the marshmallows and chocolate to melt. Put one chocolate and one marshmallow cracker together and enjoy! This activity works best when outdoor temperature is 85 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Recipe makes two S'mores.

  Lacks Credbilitity

  I don't "hate" it by any means but don't have much respect for it or give it much credibility ever since they allowed a 14 year old kid to post a bunch of tripe that was so far from the truth it wasn't funny. This occurred several years ago.
  
  Many of us involved in the matter contacted them for corrections, showed them where to find the accurate information, yet the BS still stands. So I just pass it by.
  
  As for all those reference links...they'd better hope none link to any "infringing content" or they're going to get bitch slapped with a heap of lawsuits of "ProtectIP" goes through. This new hire will have his work cut out for him.
