  You are still wrongfully taking that item/property (though it may just be a copy of that item)
  
  Not to point out the obvious, but there's no 'taking and carrying away' being done here. There's carrying away, yes, but what's being carried away are copies.
  
  And there's no taking (copying) of a copy either - it's pure copying.
  
  But I suppose if we're going to compare definitions, then let's look at the one for 'copy' - "An imitation or reproduction of an original; a duplicate". Well fuck me, that sounds familiar. The trick is this - you have to interpret the definition of 'stealing' a certain way to make it fit whereas the definition of copying matches it perfectly.

  All 15 of those Anti-Piracy Laws relate to Piracy. Yes, even the state immunity one - before, they couldn't be charged with copyright infringement and now they can. How is that not related to piracy?

  Huh, don't know the guy but I think I'm going to go download everything he's ever done because I can and he's really not winning my heart with the whole 'you're stealing my music!'. In fact, every time an artist says I 'steal' their music, I go download it. Several times, if necessary.

  What I kept thinking throughout reading that is "if the MAFIAA sees this and goes 'waaaaaahh! He's getting our stuff for free! We need to stop him!' then they should just remember - the power sides with the pirates. Not the creators. If you don't do things the way they want, that's your problem - they have control"

  However, I was pointing out how few (i.e. zero) legal and legitimate alternatives there are by pretending to search on the MPAA/RIAAs search engine. As of yet, there are no legal downloadable copies of Game Of Shadows, even though it came out in cinemas last year (release windows and all that).
  
  If MPAA/RIAA introduced their own search engine right this very second, there would be no results for Game Of Shadows. That's my entire point.
  
  I would like to watch Game Of Shadows, as I enjoyed the first film. However, I didn't catch it in the cinema (possibly due to marketing failure as I didn't even know a sequel had been made). What's my legal choices? A Telesync, CamRip or... nothing.
  
  Have I made my point clear enough yet?

  You know.. I want them to infringe another time, just to see what they'd do. But I think I can guess - they'll say 'ahh, but we don't pirate stuff, which is what we meant when we introduced this law' and they'll just carry on as usual, giving strikes against people that make the same mistakes they did and you can bet your bottom dollar, when they get 3 strikes, they're outta here.
  
  Long story short - HADOPI will hold itself above the law. I hope you Frenchies are up for some more protests :D
