Everybody's Bluejackin'

Ok. I can't seem to get people to stop sending in this story, so I'll post it in hopes that you'll leave me alone. The latest overhyped fad in the mobile phone world is a somewhat pointless exercise known as "Bluejacking", where someone uses Bluetooth connections to send anonymous messages to (often freaked out) strangers who are nearby. The way it works is you create your anonymous message as if it's contact information, which you then send to any phone within range. Apparently, the folks at the BBC (who wrote this article) were so excited by the idea, that they ran out to Bluejack people themselves. Of course, knowing the emotional response "spam" messages get from people, I wonder how long until we hear of someone getting stomped on for sending a Bluejack message to the wrong person.
