Controlling The Weather For Fun And For Profit

It seems like quite a slow news day today -- and it appears the folks at Business Week think so as well. You may remember back when Katrina hit that there was a weatherman who insisted the hurricane was caused by the Japanese mafia. Business Week has decided to look deeper into the story by discussing various historical efforts to control the weather. For the most part, it doesn't look like the various efforts ever got very far -- but, of course, the conspiracy theorist point out that this is exactly what they would want you to think.

Haha, I love that device. Create a storm over the enemies base. I wouldn't mind being able to control the weather, however is it logical? Should we really be messing with Mother Nature? I think that if we figure out how, it will become a huge ethical debate much like stem cells are right now.

Actualy, Pakistan bought the weather manipulation technology from the Russians. Then they caused Katrina. I'll bet thier sorry though, cuz our earthquake program (part of HAARP) seems to be working. Apparently Hurricane Wilma is in retaliation...

Hurricanes are so boring
To the vast majority of Americans who do not live in hurricane regions, it would be nice if we don't have to have saturation coverage of every damn storm that's going to kill a few Southerners.

First of all, I find it rather sad that I know exactly what you're talking about. And agree.
Second, there will be no ethical debate when we learn how to mess up the weather cause we'll all be dead.
