Can E-Commerce Stand On Its Own This Holiday Season?

Every year we hear stories about how e-commerce is going to be bigger than ever before. However, some are now suggesting that this year will be different, in part because online retailers aren't going to offer special deals (free shipping!) this holiday season. Instead, many retailers may focus on having promotions for their brick and mortar stores to drive people there. What this means is that companies are looking to see if e-commerce can really stand on its own this holiday season, rather than hyped up with special promotions.
