VeriSign Plans To Bring Back SiteFinder
from the friends-see-no-problem-with-it dept
VeriSign has said that the supposedly "independent" panel that they put together themselves sees no problem with SiteFinder, and therefore, there's really no reason not to turn it back on. Obviously, the panel that they put together (they wouldn't be biased in who they picked, would they?) knows a lot more than all of the internet luminaries pointing out the problems with SiteFinder. They say they're going to address a few specific complaints, and will give people a 30 day warning before they hijack all domain name typos again.
