Bells Sue To Stop New FCC Rules
from the can't-get-no-respect dept
The FCC has been making a lot of controversial decisions this year, and so far, it appears that no one is happy with any of them. In their latest move, they punted the question of whether or not the Baby Bells needed to share their copper with competitors at discounted rates. They basically said that they weren't going to decide, and it was up to each state to decide for themselves. This ruling has upset the Baby Bells, who want the forced competition rules to go away completely - and now they're suing to block the ruling, saying that it's violates an earlier court mandate.
