Apparently, it's been an interesting day over at Orbitz. The company first announced that they've hired the former head of technology from eBay. Then, it was discovered that they quietly raised their ticket prices, sneaking in an extra dollar fee for those who don't notice such things. Such an announcement sent a surge of traffic to the site, knocking it out for the entire day. Now, you might recall that a few years back eBay had a few massive outage that left them offline for a couple of days. It's a fun little coincidence that the day after they get eBay's former head of technology, their own site takes a dive.
