Italian Police Not Raiding P2P Users

It seems that folks in Italy are up in arms over a news report that the police are prosecuting some 3,000 individuals for engaging in online file sharing. Of course, it just takes one enterprising reporter to call the police department supposedly heading this operation to discover it's not true at all. The police arrested 200 users who were buying and selling pirated CDs of materials - not using P2P networks. While the original article claimed that the police had "shut down" a P2P network, it sounds more like they shut down a warez ring that bought and sold CDs.
