Salon Not Dead Yet...
from the squeaking-by dept
I'm sensing a pattern. Every few months Salon announces that they are unable to survive much longer, and then, miraculously, someone coughs up a few hundred thousand dollars for them to go for a few more months - at which point the company claims they hope to use that money to reach profitability. It's happened again. After warning that they weren't going to be able to survive past February, you may have noticed they're still in business. They just announced that they've received another $800,000 from two of their investors, Bill Hambrecht and John Warnock. We'll see if the pattern repeats itself again in another few months.
