When The DRMocrats Take Over

Steve Gillmor's latest column paints pictures of some alternate futures concerning digital rights management. He's (perhaps rightfully so) afraid of the current movement of big companies and government working to take away all sorts of consumers' rights. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that his portrait of the future seems so extreme that many people will brush it off as being unlikely to ever come true, which won't necessarily help convince people that this is a serious issue.
