Confessions Of An Auction Scammer
from the free-money dept
MSNBC has the story of a former eBay and Yahoo auctions scammer, who says the guilt from scamming all those people has made him come up with tips for people to avoid getting scammed themselves. I'm not sure I believe the whole redemption sob story, but it is still an interesting article about how this guy got away with selling old laptops by lying about just how old (and fast) they were. He got away with it, mostly, as no one seemed to actually check the speeds on the machines he sold - until he tried to mark some up by a bit too much.
