Tech Execs Square Off Against The Entertainment Industry

A bunch of big name technology execs, including Steve Ballmer, Michael Dell, and Craig Barrett have sent an open letter to the entertainment industry saying that they're willing to work on solutions to piracy, but only under certain conditions. They want the entertainment industry to realize that technology is not the only answer to (or cause of) their problems - and that the tech industry is not going to kill off a great, useful technology just to please the entertainment industry fears about one possible misuse of the technology.
