More TV Sports Technology

from the why-not-have-them-actually-race? dept

A few weeks ago we had an article about the creators of the 1st and 10 yard line technology that’s so popular in football games. However, the most interesting TV technology from this Olympics comes from a different company. Everyone I know who’s been watching the Olympics has been impressed by the “simulcam” technology that shows two skiers overlapping, as if they’re on the course at the same time. It is pretty damn cool. Apparently, coaches think so also – and the company that makes the technology is doing good business selling cheaper versions to coaches, who run it on their laptops.
