Defense Industry To Drive Silicon Valley Again?

Many are saying that in the combined wake of the dot-com bubble burst and the events of September 11, the new "next big thing" industry for Silicon Valley is their old big thing industry: the defense industry. Suddenly defense companies are hiring, and there's lots of demand for high tech solutions to all sorts of "war on terrorism" problems. Somehow, though, I'm not convinced that many of the dot com crowd has the mindset to work for the defense industry.
