Beating Up Computers
from the it's-fun.--everyone-should-do-it. dept
A new study suggests that up to 25% of computers users have hit their machine at some point. I wonder how accurate those stats really are - but it is still interesting. According to the article, people without technical knowledge like to "humanize" their machines, and that leads to the violence. This leads me to wonder if these people go around hitting their friends and colleagues all the time as well. The article also has a companion article about the famous "badday" video of a guy smashing his computer. Turns out that it's really an advertisement for a security camera firm.
