The Industry Standard takes a look at how the dot com destruction is effecting midsized companies and they're finding that many are scaling back their web efforts considerably - and some are giving up on the internet altogether. They give a few case studies, but no real evidence for how midsized businesses are handling things. For the most part, it appears that each of the case studies shows companies that went too far based on the hype about the internet and never really came up with a sustainable business model anyway.
