Michigan Wants To Create A CyberCourt

from the because-every-state-needs-a-competitive-advantage dept

The governor of Michigan is looking to have the state set up a cyber court to speed up the process of resolving disputes over contracts and intellectual property. The court would be on the same level as the Circuit Courts, and would use specially trained judges and mediators to go through cases in a faster manner than the regular courts - by doing everything online. It seems like an interesting idea, though, I'm not sure how well it would work in practice.
