Using Palm Devices In Education

from the yes,-but-what-about-the-games? dept

An interesting look at a high school that has started requiring students to have a Palm device. It looks like they've done a pretty good job of integrating it into the way kids learn. The kids also seem to like the devices quite a bit. The students are required to buy or lease a Palm, but there's financial aid for those who can't afford them. In general, I think it's a good thing that the students are learning to use these devices, but I'd be worried (as some in the article are) that the curriculum starts to revolve around them. If the Palm helps, then that's good, but lessons shouldn't be changed, just to involve a handheld.
