Justin Frankel At It Again

from the some-thanks dept

An amusing article from the Wall Street Journal (via ZD) about Nullsoft's Justin Frankel. Of course, a little while back AOL bought Nullsoft for its WinAmp software, and since then Frankel has kept on writing software that he wanted to write. Unfortunately some of that software doesn't seem to be in the best interests of AOL. He, of course, produced the original version of Gnutella. The latest is some code that lets you get rid of advertisements in your AIM client. You have to wonder how much longer they let him continue doing these sorts of things.
