What Happened to the Women's Revolution Online?

from the yeah,-what-happened? dept

Okay, I can’t really comment much on this one (being a guy and all), but it’s an interesting article over at Salon about what happened to the women’s revolution online. When women-focused sites started popping up they were supposed to be empowering, but now they’re mostly more like super market glossy magazines. From my point of view, I always thought that the sites that focus on women (and the one’s specifically for men too) were a little odd. I mean, I realize there are some things that an entire gender can bond around, but for the most part, I still think it’s way too broad (no pun, really!!) a category to be able to put together any really serious material for.
