Websites Don't Build Relationships with Customers

from the wham-bam-commerce dept

An interesting column talking about the usual sales process where a relationship is necessary before a sale. I think the article makes some sense but misses one huge point: those relationships he talks about are in business-to-business sales. The websites he's talking about are business-to-consumer sales, and generally, those types of sales don't build much of a relationship in the brick-and-mortar world either (though maybe a little bit).
