Politicans and the like already know how to use statistics -- or rather how to twist numbers to conform with their talking points. Really the average citizen should be given statistics lessons, so that they can all see through the bullshit and lies.
Ha, now that this law is in effect there is absolutely no way for sexual predator teachers who have access to children for 8 hours a day, 180 days a year to prey on their students. No way at all.
I found it interesting to skim through the PDF by searching for ?LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPACT?. You start to get a sense at how the FBI intends to leverage consumer technology to their benefit.
For example read about how the FBI is salivating over Microsoft Menlo, which is a new mobile device that can track a "target" when GPS signals are not available. (pgs 66-67)
?this kind of data is terrific for convicting people and terrific at exonerating people. with an activity-based navigation device, Since trail data can be obtained in areas where GPS would not normally be available, the Menlo prototype and the Greenfield app Should these devices become popular and used by targets, they will provide ?
Why doesn't Amazon just rename their store and be done with it?
IMO, they don't give up because they're in the right. On top of that, every time this story comes up it sheds light to Apple's unsavory side, while putting Amazon in a good light.
I would love, for once, to see companies battle it out in the marketplace rather than the courts.
Absolutely me too, but if Amazon gave in, it would solidify Apple's position to continue to sue over bogus trademark claims.
@Neal_Gabler These damn new fangled techmologies threaten my career in print!! @facebook @twitter #getoffmylawn

We're short a full-time employee thanks to these douchebags.
There go patents promoting progress and creating jobs.
I can picture it now, a 21st century re-boot on everybody's favorite fable, "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."
The Full Body Naked Scanner that Cried Terrorist.
Extortion 101:
Truly believe that people have taken from you. Treat them as "thieves". Collect your money by any means necessary.
Righthaven is not in the business of seeking justice for their clients, rather they're in the business of extortion.

This initiative is similar in nature, but even less effective than a puerto rican shower.
