I feel that just because you don't believe a law/rule is right, doesn't mean you shouldn't use it to your advantage when given the chance. Most would refer to this as "playing the game" No... thats being a hypocrite. - "Although I wouldn't have announced it on the radio." That would make you a dishonest hypocrite. - Its like an environmentalist going out and buying an Escalade.
I disagree. Cops will think twice because he is the kind of citizen that will follow through with legal action. - I'd have that judgment taped to the back window of my car... give the piggies a little reading material before they approach me.
It's easy to understand why the Ferguson community has little faith they will get any justice from the police department who are supposed to be there to serve them. After being shot at least six times, Michael Brown's body was left lying in the street for at least 5 hours. It was people in the neighborhood who first covered his body with a sheet, not the police. After they finally get around to explaining why Michael Brown received the death penalty for jaywalking and resisting a police officer, I'd like to hear the FPD's explanation for leaving him in the street for hours to be covered by citizens. - FUCK THE POLICE!!!
All of this has been accelerated since 911 because... terrorists. DHS has been militarizing local police forces because... terrorists. NSA has been collecting all electronic communications because... terrorists. - A lot of bad legislation has been written since 911 because... terrorists. - So yeah, it has everything to do with 911.
neighboring states citizens should grab their guns and descend on Ferguson. Only way this will be discussed nationally is if it becomes a bloodbath. And that is exactly what it will become when they let the cop that killed that kid go free. - Fox 29 Philadelphia just ran a "news" piece last night and that is the first I am hearing of it in the MSM in this area. No mention of the local police needed to be replaced by State police... not a word. I guess something like that isn't Faux "News" worthy.
reading comprehension fail?: As the dwindling numbers trickled in over the weekend, studio executives privately pointed the finger at a leaked copy of the film that hit the internet three weeks before its debut and was seen by 2.2 million people.
"Ultimately, taking several thousand photos with dozens of surveillance cameras is no greater a violation of privacy than a single photographer taking shots of crowd members." - Really? No different...Tim? The lone Photographer does not send his pics to a back end system that may trigger a SWAT response when your pic wrongly hits on a fugitive.
Just get a tech friendly Admin to impose policy that TechDirt is the homepage for all congress critter computers. I bet all it would cost is a case of beer and a lunch or 3. - I'd do it for free if I had the access.
"And now we're in the stalking and implied threat arena." "July 8. 2014 It gets even scarier... I just got a message from him: Hi Naama, Dennis T. sent you a message on Yelp: Subject: RE: Your Review "By the way, what is all that trash in your driveway on the google street view of your house? You seem a little wacko."
Where is the implied threat? Seems like Timmah is a little thin skinned when it comes to an internet troll.
Uh oh... I just Googled Timothy Geigner and went to his Twitter page... I must be stalking him. NORMALLY you would defend this kind of action as it is clearly not stalking. - I get it... you only defend free speech for those you like. But when its an obvious TROLL the rules change... got it. - Whats next... if I search/comment on someone's comments on FB Twits and YT will that be stretched to stalking/harassment? No chance of that being abused. /s
