I'm fairly certain all large business in West Virginia has its hands in all levels of government and in both parties. I'm a progressive Democrat and I'm telling you the corruption is bipartisan in West Virginia. The only slight difference is the democrats are subject to shame that will sway them a tad in that state.
Two things. 1. Uber looks like a taxi to me just has an easier way to hail it. Prices are set centrally. 2. Cabs might charge more sometimes because they are there ahead of time and don't get to gouge you other times.
So if you want cabs to go away that is fine but be prepared for your surge price future that ends up making prisons more over crowded when poor people can't get tot court.
You never look at the long game only short term selfish.
NASCAR didn't come from a tax it was from a prohibition. And there was another fatal alcohol poisoning in Africa recently. Often goods that are known to be fakes are substandard because they have no reason to follow any regulations. And a geo claim on a product might seem odd unless you don't understand that the product name to them includes the location. It would be dishonest to sell Dutch chocolate made in Poland.
Tim you sound like your watching Alex Jones again, this is valuable data and the reason the government wants it is to shape travel policy and road spending. Further government sponsored researchers could get access.
Focus on making sure the data has no names attached and is not ever handed to law enforcement. Could as simply as for people to opt in as well.
