I think the distinction is what the main focus of airbnb is.
the state doesnt regulate me selling my guitar. i can use any number of sites that will allow me to list it either free of charge or for a small fee. But they dont focus on selling only guitars so if someone decides to advertise hooker and blow parties on the go, they are protected by section 230.
airbnb does not have any other function though. since motels and hotels are regulated, and this is the sole purpose of airbnb, it too should fall under the same regulations as motel 6. since i could be advertising a place for rent that included hooker and blow parties- airbnb would have section 230 protections against the hooker and blow party part... but they are still functioning in their one single design of connecting people looking to rent their space with people looking to rent spaces and in that specific function, they would not qualify for 230 protections.
course thats just my own personal viewpoint and im no laywer.
and it wont matter in any way.... it isnt the news sites that took the action, its legislation. Sure they will run back to google screaming for them to turn it back up... but the spanish govt has pretty much forced google into the position with no alternative way out.
no because dish has an advantage that neither the cable carriers and even in some cases internet and OTA have- the only thing you need is a clear view of the sky, and electricity. the US is a lot bigger then most people realize and there are parts that satellite and/or high powered AM radio are the only broadcast services you are really going to get.
yup, and what will happen is this (not exactly verbatim, but the general flow):
CBS will cut a deal with AMC to include walking dead then a deal will be cut to include HBOs offering so you get all three (even if you dont want all three, you wont have a choice). and it will just continue to grow and morph until we have the exact same thing as we have now... except on the internet.
and because the only thing that actually changed was the "on the internet" part, some idiots will launch "geothermal nuclear patent party" simply because the exact same thing exists but now "on the internet" and deals will be struck and prices will go up and ta-da! the only thing thats changed is the transmission medium.

You may not use customer information obtained from the Market to sell or distribute Products outside of the Market.
unauthorized by who? i want to install it on purpose and as such it would be authorized.
the concerning issue is not how many have access to these documents, the possibility of them being leaked or even who specifically should or should not have access to them.
the really concerning part is: why is the US engaging in activities so abhorrent that the mere leaking of these activities would cause such detrimental harm to the US? I think we really should be focusing on that and then we can worry about who has access to what and if they even should.
