If there's ever going to be a good use for the right to be forgotten laws, this is it.
That may be what those words mean to you, but they mean different things for different people. For me, they are interchangeable depending on what I'm doing.People *make* all kinds of things using other things as components. While my Grandma could make a Raspberry Pie from scratch, my soldering skills will never make me a Raspberry Pi.
'Mecca For Hackers'
You spelled 'Makers' wrong.
Would you put Rudy Giuliani in charge of "the cyber" security for all of your private businesses?
If they had done differently, I would probably still be running a half ass dual boot windows/Linux system.Instead, I dropped the half that was ass and now I'm full Fedora. It might take a little more effort sometimes, but I'm also learning a ton of new stuff. So I guess its a win/win when there's now windows. As an added bonus, it's so much more fun when that guy from "windows support service" calls.
We already have a "Waiter Service Fee." It's called a tip. It's not optional and it's basically pre-calculated by social standards. This is a separate related discussion, but restaurants should simply raise their rates by %15 and pay their staff better.
If I ever got a text and/or call like this I would assume it was spam and treat them like I do all tele-molesters.Which of course would probably lead to an in-person visit....
Does this have any functionality that will require me to sign up for an account with anyone?
They can lock anything they want, it won't affect me.I refuse to buy anything from Lenovo, they can't be trusted.Even better, I have stopped 4 friends from buying a Lenovo.
Someone should make a new line of pepper spray and call it Katehi Pepper Spray.
The politicians just need to politician harder!
What if they decide this lawsuit itself is trying to circumvent DRM?
My first thought was, "Wow, how much porn do the federal reserve people watch to generate a bill big enough to make the news?"
Don't forget they are now talking about suspending your constitutional rights for just being under investigation. You may not care that it's only the 2nd amendment, but if they get away with that, the others aren't far behind.Soon, if you're under investigation the only right you'll have is the right to run for president.
I wish I could watch when his daughter is googling herself and finds the quote from her dad.“turning our daughter into a raging asshole."
Me: Alexa, if the daughter of Avi Greengart is a "raging asshole", who's fault is it?Alexa: It would be Avi Greengart's fault, but I'm sure Avi Greengart will blame me.
Wow, if it wasn't for Web Sherrif confirming the picture is actually Axl Rose, I would have thought it was Chris Farley doing an Axl Rose impersonation.Thank you Web Sherrif for verifying the authenticity of the picture.
Do your own job first. For example, balance the country's budget in a way that makes everyone happy.I'm sure if you all just politician the hell out of it, you can do it.Get that done then come talk to us about the stuff you don't understand.
For any company claiming caps are needed.Let's pretend:- They are tracking usage and it's close to accurate- The network is actually approaching capacity, for fun let's say 90% is the trigger point.Start throttling the people who are online during the congestion in the order of their usage.- At 90.1% - throttle top 1%- At 90.2% - throttle top 2%- At 90.3% - throttle top 3% ...As the congestion goes down, walk it backward and un-throttle in the reverse order.Assuming they have usage data in a database, the query for which currently connected user to throttle is entry level easy.Results:1. Congestion solved.2. Throttling only happens when it's actually needed.3. People adjusted fairly according to their usage.4. No extra charges.Oh shit, #4 means it will never happen.
