  There was a time when Monster Cable was the bully, going after everybody who used the name Monster in any way. I think they even sued Disney for Monsters, Inc. So what happened?   I would think that you typically see application of the felony murder rule when the defendant is actually charged with committing a felony, like a robbery gone bad. Hard to see how it fits when the defendant’s crime was standing outside in public talking on a phone. The prosecutor seems pretty gutless since it appears he’s unable to stand up to the police and say, “no, I’m not charging anybody for murder when the autopsy calls the death natural.” But it is easy to be hard core when the person on the receiving end of punishment has no standing in the community, just a pawn to be used in the quest to prove that you’re tough on crime.

  Ok, so does this mean that any person who files a lawsuit alleging discrimination on the basis of race, sex, etc., is also automatically liable for defamation per se? “An allegation that the plaintiff has discriminated against another person or group because of their race, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity constitutes defamation per se”
