The control is the power of the review. Gamers are generally a savvy bunch when it comes to getting info out if they feel they have been wronged.
Maybe they wanted to make sure he understood the deeper meaning behind the hashtags.
I get the whole advertising is content thing but since when is a lawsuit contents the advertising?
Kids have a bad habit of modeling their behavior on the adults around them. They just don't have the life skills yet to understand the adults around them are complete morons. What worries me is what will the "Great State of Texas" look like in 20 years when these kids have taken over and the morons are in nursing homes being taken care of.
I mourn the loss of the American way of life. I think even Hoover would stop and say man these guys are really crossing the line.
Not really but
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamergate_controversy covers most of the salient points that you seem to want to discuss/debate/whatever.
My point was his comment about the anon comment was a distortion of what was actually said in the anon initial comment.
So much for the anonymous coward above's claim that this proves GG is all about hating women.
The comment DID NOT say this.
If you want to disagree with someone don't post a comment just 3 comments down, that is still visible while reading yours and say it says something that it does not.
The coustomers using oscopes are the market segment most likely to hack and modify equipment to suit their needs. This will just push anyone with technical ability to consider alternate vendors out of spite.
Just another example of the entitled poor looking for handouts from the government.
Might want to refresh you memory on the history of the FBI.
I hope to god I would have the moral fortitude to step back and say no, that's wrong. That being said, we're looking at this from a nice clean view with enough facts known to make our judgments. I'm not excusing or even attempting to excuse the doctors, nurses or the cops behaviors. But I would imagine crowd psychology, racial prejudices, the moral flexibility of the cops and Eckert challenging the cops alpha status all came together to create this situation. Bullies are usually smart enough to keep themselves out of trouble but this situation escalated somehow that there was a clear paper trail of wrong doing. I would hope that someone in a position to effect change would look at this situation and figure out a way to minimize the chances of it happening again rather than looking at a payout as enough of a punishment.
I bet he's reconsidered his negative views of the government now...the public good has once again been served.
Christi will be doing his monthly Ask the Governor on local radio station nj 101.5 tonight at 7pm est. nj1015.com
Except another lawyer somewhere else will argue that of course its not a violation and these types of activities will continue for decades before it ever gets to the point of being challengable and then the government will just say its in the interest of public saftey/national security/for the children.
Even if I had the data, and I had insurance, and I had every other possible means to allow me to chose the location I'd still be screwed for the same reason most of the county is stuck with only one broadband provider. There's no other option. Unless you live in a large city there's a good chance you have one hospital in the region.
how bout just stuff that does stuff...could just break it down to stuff then get a trademark on stuff as well so you have all of your bases covered
You always hear people bemoan the loss of opportunity for a teachable moment but in reality this was a School of hard knocks teachable moment. Those kids have been taught that abuse of authority is okay. The rules can be twisted to do and mean anything. And most importantly life isn't fair and you gotta get yours before someone else beats you down.
I'm broke most of the time.
I play a f2p game that I enjoy.
I get some disposable income.
I throw some cash the games way to purchase some doodad or other that I have been wanting since the last time I had disposable income.
The cycle repeats. I didnt just throw $40-60 at the game one time, I throw $5-10 a month for years. It's not the big numbers you can point to and say we did good as a publisher but its a steady stream of revenue that gets repeated over and over by many more people than you would have had just selling the game one time (twice if you make gamestop pay you for resale).
its been way too many years for me to remember but Dark Helmet was Tim prior to him being hired if i remember right. He was a regular snarky commentor, which may be a understatement.
