CommerceOne Has a Great IPO

from the buzzword-central dept

Not a real big surprise here, but CommerceOne followed in Ariba’s footsteps and had an insane IPO. I think this is a good thing. I’m glad that companies with real businesses are going public and recognized, whereas some of the one’s that are obviously dot-coms for Wall Street’s sake are having more problems. Not that CommerceOne is perfect, mind you, or that they deserve such a valuation, but I think it points more towards a trend of actually knowing what you’re investing in rather than sucking up the latest dot-com. Of course, next week perhaps this trend will revert back to pure stupidity. Who knows?
