DailyDirt: Romantic Fast Food For Valentine's Day?
from the urls-we-dig-up dept
Lots of people get married or propose on Valentine’s day, and the diamond industry has successfully made its shiny minerals part of the wedding tradition. But can fast food restaurants get into this romantic ritual, too? Here are just a few ways that couples can get hitched –along with a reasonably priced meal.
- Order your perfect Pizza Hut proposal for just $10,010 (plus tax) which includes a $10 dinner box. Limit 1 per customer. Supplies are limited. [url]
- An Illinois couple tied the knot at a Taco Bell — with the bride wearing a $15 “Taco Bell purple” wedding dress. Make a run for the border, indeed. [url]
- There have actually been several white weddings at White Castles over the last few years. “It was the most amazing thing I could ever hope for…” [url]
- McDonald’s in Hong Kong offers a variety of wedding-themed decorations and services — including wedding dresses and photography sessions. Are you lovin’ it? [url]

mmmmmmeatlovers pizza for the missus, mmmmmm, and only 830 mgs of salt PER SLICE!!! Still, after one of them pies you could dive deep in the Red Sea!
My favourite is what KFC has done in Japan. They’ve somehow managed to convince the populace that the traditional way to celebrate Christmas is with KFC, to the extent that you need to reserve a seat at KFC months in advance if you want to eat there on Christmas Eve.
This isn’t as off-topic as you’d think – in Japan, Christmas is more strongly focused on a time of romance for couples than the western version.
Too funny about the pizza thing. My girlfriend and I just had pizza as our Valentines dinner. We thought that would be better than going out and fighting the crowds. How romantic!
Re:
$10,010 and for a meal you get a $10 box dinner? I understand there is more to it than that but you would think there is better things out there for…dinner…
Valentines day can be celebrated differently…even going out just to a pizza place, not to a fancy restaurant. I think the important thing is both of you are having fun.
I heard that restaurants had the most number of customers (in the year) during Valentines Day. It just shows that people like eating out.
