DailyDirt: Breakfast of Champions...

from the urls-we-dig-up dept

Breakfast is supposedly the more important meal of the day. But does it matter what you eat for breakfast? There are plenty of incredibly unhealthy-sounding breakfast menus, but people are always coming up with even more outrageous breakfast items. Here are just a few examples of how kids can start their day. If you'd like to read more awesome and interesting stuff, check out this unrelated (but not entirely random!) Kickstart is pretty good, but I prefer an actual energy drink like Rip It, Monster, or Amp.

    Free breakfast

The free breakfast at McDonald's was driven by the fact that a full belly leads to less distractions, and thus better scores. It was pushed mainly for low income families that might have to send hungry kids to school just because they don't have a lot of food in the house, so at the base of it was a core of good intent.

Kickstart is okay, but it gives me heartburn.

I suppose, if you count a really excellent marketing opportunity as "good intent".

    Not that much caffeine really

Regarding Kickstart, most coffee people buy from places like Starbucks has 2-4 times the caffeine per ounce. This drink doesn't even have all that many calories, 80, relative to other breakfast drinks such as orange juice.
