Sometimes, people do strange things with their bodies. (Yoga doesn’t count.) And sometimes our bodies return the favor with some bizarre medical conditions. Here are just a few weird stories about getting rid of things like hair.. or legs.
- About a million dollars worth of raw human hair is imported into the US annually, mostly from India. The supply of human hair isn’t exactly farmed, but maybe it would be if the demand for it was greater…. [url]

- Some people suffer from Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) — and they are obsessed with amputating their limbs. BIID is not officially recognized as a medical disorder, but some medical practitioners will perform amputations for a fee, and the patients seem to appreciate the service. [url]
