Keep Kids Off Phones

Marketing mobile phones to kids is a dicey proposition, but one analyst says they represent a great untapped market for operators — a view that doesn’t sit well with some parents. But like previous studies saying kids shouldn’t be exposed to mobile phones, the columnist’s reasoning doesn’t go very far beyond “just because”. Shamelessly pitching mobile phones at kids probably isn’t the most responsible thing a company could do, but simply rejecting them out of hand and ignoring any potential benefits isn’t much better.
