Confusion Over Whether Or Not People Need TV Licenses For Phones

With so many efforts under way to get broadcast TV on mobile phones, it's been causing people to wonder in places where they need to buy TV licenses, if they'll need licenses that cover their phones as well. Over in the UK, it appears that different operators are saying different things, but the official explanation basically seems to focus on whether or not it's live TV. If you're watching live TV, you need a license. If it's time shifted or made-for-mobile TV, you're fine. However, to make it more fun... politicians are thinking of changing the laws around a bit to deal with the changing technology, so who knows how long this will be valid information.
