Securing VoWiFi
Aruba Wireless Networks now says that they’ve released some technology to secure voice-over-WiFi (which still should be called VoWiFi) connections. The technology supposedly will automatically identify voice traffic, and will secure it – though, the article seems to be lacking some of the details concerning how it will be secured. It also appears to include some quality of service (QoS) technology to give VoIP traffic priority, which remains somewhat controversial among those who believe that data is data is data – and no data packets deserve preferential treatment. These days, though, it appears that many are realizing that reality says otherwise, and certain types of traffic are going to receive priority.
