Palm Beach Goes Electronic

from the touch-screen-voting dept

Well, it’s certainly not surprising that Palm Beach County, Florida will never again have “butterfly ballots” or “pregnant chads”. Instead, they’ve gone all high tech. The next election in Palm Beach will feature computerized touch screens, that show a BIG CLEAR CHECKMARK once you’ve chosen who you want to vote for – and then gives you a chance to make sure (ARE YOU SURE?) and change your vote if it’s not right. Of course, won’t it be fun when they have technical glitches and lose half their votes?
