VC Money Still Flowing

from the get-your-funding!--get-your-funding-here! dept

Despite the fact that the world seems to believe the technology sector is dead, venture capitalists still poured tons of money into tech companies last quarter (nearly double of what they did a year ago). The article claims that some people might have expected more, and it’s an indication that companies are getting less money. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. There are still plenty of good companies to fund, and most of them don’t need $100 million seed rounds. I think that companies are getting more reasonable investments that are designed to get them to certain milestones rather than to throw all their money away in acts of pure stupidity (though, the acts of pure stupidity are a lot more fun to write about).
