I have heard and I have read that these “Audio Cassette to MP3 Music Converters” produce a poor quality recording. Anyone out there recommend a specific brand that works well enough for high quality dependable recordings?
Any good tape deck hooked up to your sound card…
…and the most important tip is you must select the version of
Dolby noise reduction used to record that tape; otherwise it
will sound way too hot or muffled and you’d want to cut or
boost high frequencies manually by trial and error.
Re: Any good tape deck hooked up to your sound card…
Ah yes, the old Dolby A/B/C switch. You sound like you must have been one of those home-taping pirates that killed the music industry.
Like most old-technology electronic platforms, the vast majority of “good tape decks” these days would unfortunately be found buried in landfills.
