International Shipping Is Now Available For CIA: Collect It All On Kickstarter!

from the get-it-while-you-can dept

As most of you know, we recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for CIA: Collect It All — our fleshed out and polished version of the CIA’s training card game that was recently obtained under a FOIA request. Two days later, we hit our funding goal, and now we’ve more than doubled it!

Before we knew just how much interest there would be, our plan was to limit shipping to the US — but the requests from other countries came pouring in alongside the pledges, and so now we’re happy to announce that CIA: Collect it All is now available in 170 countries!

CIA: Collect It All on Kickstarter

As we warned from the start, international shipping isn’t cheap, but we’ve tried to secure the best rates we possibly could. If you were waiting on availability in your country before backing the campaign — or if you pledged for the digital print-and-play version but would like to upgrade to a physical copy — now’s the time. There are a few major countries we are unable to ship to (such as Brazil and Russia) due to limitations of our fulfillment partner, and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about that right now, so we apologize if you’re still left out.

There’s just over two weeks left in the campaign, and we still have no plans to produce more than this single print run of the game — so if you want to get your hands on a copy, now’s the time to back us on Kickstarter so you don’t miss out! We’re overwhelmed by the support for this project (huge thanks to everyone who has backed it already), and we’re excited to bring this formerly top-secret CIA training game to so many people around the world.

Re: Re:

“As most of you know” seems to be a favorite stock expression used in numerous Techdirt articles, almost like the way some people make frequent use of “ah” and “um” in their casual speech. It’s also a highly useful conversational tool to avoid causing offense, as some people can get impatient (or even highly offended) when you’re trying to explain the background of one subject in order to introduce another subject. (personally, I tend to oscillate between over-explaining something and getting people mad by “talking down” to them, and under-explaining something, causing them to screw up cataclysmically … so it’s indeed a fine skill to try to hone)

The only people who can taste grapes that bitter are failed artists. Maybe, if you would have practiced harder and not blamed other people for your problems. You would have been more successful at selling your crap music or shitty paintings. And to answer your other question; yes, I would like fries with that.

"Fuck him, and fuck this pirate apologist site. I wish Shiva Ayyadurai fucked this site in the ass and put you through a wood chipper, you pirate scum."

Although the wood chipper treatment you advocate would not be a pleasant experience, you might be surprised to learn that the other "punishment" you mentioned is something that in Mike’s neck of the woods is not something that’s considered necessarily loathsome.

Still waiting for your response to Mike’s question after he took the time to answer all of yours.

Wonder What Post WWII Berlin Spooks Would Think Of Game?

Well, I do have one bit of information, my safely dead & buried father. He loved Berlin, had a spare wife there (so it was told one holiday dinner) and did whatever it was he did. I would not speculate what he did – not my problem. So, to answer the question – he would frown and continue fussing with his rose bush.

Jump past Korea and Vietnam and poof CIA is full of button pushers. Reckon there where/are agents sitting in Central/Middle Asia cafe or park looking like movie CIA Guy. What to do about Analyst training? Apparently CIA made this this card game.

I have backed this project for many reasons including the finished product is a win for public domain in copyright. National Defense has redacted various bits and pieces, card game designer explained that original play will be maintained.
