What’s the upgrade policy with this? Am I paying for Dragon 14 when it comes out?

It uses DRM. Interesting how Techdirt has no problem promoting DRM to make a buck.

Are you claiming that DRM is applied to user-generated or user-purchased content? The customer’s dictated text can’t be transferred, copied or format-shifted?
Or do you merely mean that the program uses DRM, in the sense that the iTunes software or a movie player – EXCLUDING the music or movies – is locked down?
Or do you not see the difference?

Say, this software can’t be used to speak trademarked phrases and copyrighted song lyrics, can it?
With YouTube’s ContentID system working efficiently and flawlessly, shouldn’t this software protect our intellectual property the same way?
Screw dat, I can get get Google TTS for free and that’s very nearly as good as Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
