Will The Feds Accuse Jesse Ventura Of Breaking The Law For Online Gambling Ads?

from the questions-questions-questions dept

While it certainly seems like a violation of free speech, the federal government has been trying to stop companies from advertising online gambling, claiming it’s “aiding and abetting” such things. For the record, online gambling still remains illegal in the US, though there are some gray areas and the general ban seems to be ignored by many. Either way, even if all online gambling in the US is illegal, it’s hard to see how you can legitimately ban advertisements for offshore gambling… but that’s exactly what the government has been trying to do. So, it makes you wonder if those same government officials will now try to go after former Minnesota Governor Jesse Venture for becoming the pitch man for an offshore online casino?
